Wanderlust

I hold the mountains if they were my own,
Losing a part of myself in the sunrise;
The cresting warmth against the moody cliffs,
Hugs the snow-capped peaks;
So high they could shake the hand of God,
I sink into the forgetfulness of urban life,
As I fall in love with places,
That I’ve never been.

  1. There’s nothing quite like being one with nature to remind us who we are again. Wonderful words paired with that awesome image made me feel as if I were there, as well.

  2. Wowww.i really love this. I love how you put me there experiencing that in just a few lines. Sometimes less is more. You nailed it. 😊😊😊 A+

  3. Beautiful words! Followed you.
    By the way I started a blog where I post poems and short stories. Would appreciate if you could check it out.
